Hurricane Florence devastated the Wilmington area; the hurricane left most of the area without power. With the amazing efforts of the community and lineman from all over the country, New Hanover, Brunswick and the surround counties were able to have their power restored for the most part.
Above is an example of a before and after shot of an electrical service effected by the storm.
If your electrical service is damaged by a storm or other natural disaster, there a few steps you’ll need to follow in order to get your service back up and running. The home owner is responsible for the electrical service and wiring on their home.
You’ll need to contact a licensed electrical contractor who will be able to repair the service and get an electrical inspection.
Once the service passes an electrical inspection, Duke energy or Brunswick Electric will able to reconnect and power will be restored to your home.

An electrical service drop was torn off the side of a home and we are repairing the damage.
in addition to the service being damaged, the brick chimney, which was located on the roof , was blown off the roof and fell on the pictured car. The wind speed was tremendously strong.
